Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

What format should I send my images in?

We recommend sending your images in high-resolution formats like JPEG or PNG (300+ DPI) for the best print quality.

Can you edit my image/remove the background?

Currently, we only print the image exactly as received. We do not offer editing services or background removal. We can design them if you need to add a message to your icing prints.

Can I print multiple different images on one sheet?

Yes, you can print multiple different images on one sheet, as long as they fit within the printable area and are provided in a single file or clear instructions for arrangement. If you are a home baker or a professional you can create you icing print design and send it to us, we can print it for you.

What's the difference between icing sheets and wafer paper?

Icing sheets are thicker, more flexible, and produce vibrant colours, blending seamlessly with icing and can still be used for standup decorations by adding a layer of rolled dried fondant on modelling paste. Wafer paper is thinner, translucent, and has a slightly crisp texture, often used for stand-up decorations which don't have a great printing quality.

Can you print copyrighted images?

We cannot print copyrighted images without proper authorisation. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to print any submitted images.

How do I peel the icing off the backing sheet?

If your icing sheet is difficult to peel, place it in a dry, cool area for 10-15 minutes or briefly in a freezer for 30 seconds. Gently bend the backing sheet and peel from a corner.

How do I apply this to my cake?

Gently peel the edible print from its backing sheet. For icing sheets, apply directly onto icing like buttercream, fondant and ganache. To use icing sheets on fresh cream you will need to have a layer of fondant or modelling paste. For wafer paper, apply to dry icing or fondant using a small amount of edible glue or water.

Can I put this on a fresh cream cake?

Icing sheets are suitable for fresh cream cakes. Apply them on fondant and only then place them on fresh cream to prevent the print from absorbing too much moisture, which can cause colours to bleed.

What is the shelf life?

Our edible prints typically have a shelf life of up to 6 months when stored correctly in their sealed packaging.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Our standard delivery is Next Day Delivery which is included in the cost of icing print. If you need for weekend delivery, this is available for an additional fee; please choose appropriate delivery for this.

Will it fit through my letterbox?

Most of our edible prints are packaged to fit through a standard letterbox, depending on the size and quantity ordered.

Are these suitable for allergies or dietary requirements?

Our edible prints are made with food-safe ingredients. Please check the product description for a full list of ingredients and allergen information. Icing sheets and inks are nut-free, gluten-free and dairy-free.

What should I know before ordering?

Before ordering edible prints, customers should prepare high-resolution images (300+ DPI), confirm the correct size/shape, and account for potential colour variations from screen to edible ink. Make sure the correct image is sent; if you need a message, ensure the correct message with correct spellings is added to the order. Any discrepancies while placing an order are the customer's responsibility. We only print what we receive.

Do they taste weird?

Our edible prints have a neutral flavour and will not significantly alter the taste of your baked goods. They are designed to blend seamlessly with your cake's flavour.

How should I store and use my edible prints for best results?

Edible prints are delicate and require careful handling to maintain their quality. To ensure the best results, they should be kept in a sealed airtight bag or box, stored flat, and kept at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heat, and high humidity.
